As part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, Arihant College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Camp, in collaboration with the NSS and IQAC, organized a series of events under the theme “Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future” and the national initiative Har Ghar Tiranga.

The primary objective of these events was to instill patriotism, raise awareness about the significance of the Tiranga, and pay tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters while encouraging the youth to uphold the values of unity and freedom. The celebrations commenced with an Exhibition of Tiranga on 11th August 2025, where students showcased innovative flag displays in two categories – Made in College and Made at Home. On 12th August, a Tiranga Rangoli competition was held, highlighting vibrant and creative rangolis themed around the national flag. This was followed by a Quiz on Tiranga on 13th August, where teams of students competed in multiple rounds, demonstrating their knowledge of the Indian flag, the freedom movement, and national history. On 14th August, a Photo Exhibition of National Leaders and Freedom Fighters was organized to honor their legacy and contribution to India’s independence. Finally, on 15th August, students took part in the Tiranga Selfie initiative, capturing creative photographs with the national flag to spread the message of unity and patriotism.

These engaging and meaningful activities created a strong patriotic atmosphere across the campus. The participation from students was enthusiastic and heartfelt, reflecting their deep respect for the nation. All events were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall impact.

Winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes. The week-long celebration proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the college community and adding great value to the Independence Day festivities. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Ashok Chaskar, Academic Director, AEF; Dr. Kanchan Shinde, I/c Principal. Sofeen Sayyed, IQAC Coordinator and Harshal Chalwadi, NSS Program Officer coordinated the event.
