On 11th October 2024, students from the Psychology Department (FY, SY, TY.) visited ‘Kamayani Special School’ to gain insights into the lives of specially-abled children and understand the role of psychology in fostering inclusivity. The visit aimed to spread awareness about the challenges faced by these children and the importance of empathy in supporting them.

Students observed specialized teaching methods, therapies, and collaborative approaches among teachers and caregivers, gaining a deeper appreciation for the value of patience and care.

After this visit, students recognized their responsibility as future psychologists to promote inclusivity and contribute positively to society by supporting those with unique needs.

This visit was coordinated by Shital Salavi, Asst. Prof., Psychology  and held under the guidance of Dr. Ashok Chaskar, Academic Director, Dr Kanchan Shinde, I/C Principal and Dr Radharani Banerjee, HoD, Humanities.
