On August 8th, 2024, the Faculty of Humanities (Arts) at Arihant College of ACS, Pune-01, held an Induction Program for the newly admitted FYBA students. The event welcomed students and introduced them to the NEP 2020 syllabus structure, various departments, and faculty members.
The program began with the University song, followed by an inaugural address from Dr. Kanchan Shinde, I/C Principal, who warmly greeted the new students. Dr. Shikha Prasad, Assistant Professor of Economics, extended a welcome speech. Mrs. Shital Salavi, Assistant Professor of Psychology, explained the CBCS pattern, syllabus structure, and evaluation methods, while Mr. Harshal Chalwadi, Assistant Professor of Political Science, discussed the NEP 2020 syllabus for Humanities.
Brief introduction to various departments was given by respective heads and coordinators, including Training & Placement by Mrs. Pranali Deshmukh, TPO; Physical Education and Sports by Dr. Gautam Shinde; NSS by Mr. Harshal Chalwadi, Program Officer; Library by Mrs. Sheetal Ankushe, Librarian; and the Student Development Board by Mr. Ramajan Varunkar, SDO. Faculty members also shared potential career paths for students in Humanities.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Shital Salavi. The event was anchored by second-year students Samjhana Singhchhetri and Sayyed Gulrukh,, with photography managed by Prathamesh B. Shinde.
