Guest Lecture on Stock Market

Department of Science and Technology organized a guest lecture on the topic “Stock Market” on Saturday, 17th August 2024, featuring Mr. Ramajan Varunkar, HoD, Commerce Department, as the guest speaker. Sir began by introducing the basics of the stock market, explaining the concept of shares, stocks, and bonds, and then delved into the world of stock exchanges, discussing the primary and secondary markets, and the role of stockbrokers. He also covered various types of stocks, including growth stocks, dividend stocks, and index funds, and emphasized the importance of financial planning, risk management, and diversification in investing. He shared his expertise on how to analyse stocks, read financial statements, and make informed investment decisions, providing valuable insights to the students. Total 62 students attended the guest lecture. The students found the lecture informative and engaging.
