On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, Department of Psychology in collaboration with NSS organized a Suicide Prevention and Awareness Program on 11th September 2025 at 10:00. Total of students from all streams actively participated in the program.

The program began with an introduction by Asst. Prof. Shital Salavi, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of mental health awareness. She sensitized the students about the warning signs, causes, and prevention strategies related to suicide, emphasizing the role of peer support and timely intervention.

The session was graced by the guest speakers from Mukta Foundation, who shared valuable insights on mental health and coping strategies. The team was led by Mrs. Deepali Kshirsagar, who guided the students with practical approaches to deal with stress, emotional struggles, and the importance of seeking help when needed. Her talk encouraged students to foster a culture of care, empathy, and openness.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Harshal Chalwadi, Asst. Prof., who expressed gratitude towards Mukta Foundation, faculty members, and the students for making the event meaningful and impactful.
