On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated on 2nd April 2024, the Psychology Department organized a multifaceted program to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

The event featured two key activities: a poster-making competition and a comprehensive awareness program.

The poster making competition was held on 1st April 2024. Students from all departments enthusiastically participated in the completion. The event aimed to showcase their creativity and convey messages about autism awareness through colourful and thought-provoking posters.

Mr. Nilesh Sarwade worked as judge for the competition. He commended the participants for their insightful and inspiring work.

On the second day, comprehensive presentations on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) were delivered by students. They have covered various aspects of ASD, including its types, symptoms, and causes, and provided information about the centres and schools in Pune city that support individuals with autism.

Using Power Point slides, the students aimed to educate and raise awareness among the attendees, highlighting the importance of understanding and supporting individuals with autism within the community. Faculty members from the Humanities Department also contributed valuable insights during the program.

Mr. Nilesh Sarwade proposed vote of thanks for the program.
